George School at The Shipley School Final Score: Shipley 1 George 0
GS played a close match to Shipley 10/8 for the last JV away game. The team stepped up again to play 8 v 8 and the motivation of each player could be seen and felt. After playing to the ball repeatedly, the team had a few really synchronous plays up the field. Two corners played in the second half of the game demonstrated the team's proximity to Shipley’s goal. The end of game score gave the win to Shipley, 1-0.

George School @ Academy of the New ChurchJV matched ANC 0-0. The team even had a jaw-clenching chance of scoring in the last minute of the game after Charlotte Gougher brought the ball up the field and the offense was awarded a penalty corner.
It was an all-hands-on-deck game with being short in numbers on both teams. The teams played a 9 versus 9 (usually 11 players) game and all players played hard until the end.
Special thanks to Varsity player Jules Kyle, who brought enthusiasm while stepping in as goalie when needed. Not only did she make defensive saves, but she also contributed to the discussion during breaks with input on full-field dynamics.
Defense and offense players are applauded for their diligent attention to the game during periods of adaptation. Next on deck JV is at Shipley on Friday 10/8.

George School Played with great effort against Moorestown Friends School. It was a no score game, but there were many wins to be acknowledged. Being on grass was a transition and challenge that players welcomed. The team pushed and energized each other, keeping up the speed of the game. Players worked the ball up the field with short passes and the defense did excellent in putting pressure on attackers, repeatedly coming up with the ball. Sam Gorby had an awesome save and another shut-out in goal.
